VPA, Inc. Promotes John Gernert to Executive
Vice President

Calabasas, California – VPA, Inc., the leader in self-insured disability
benefit administration, is pleased to announce that John Gernert has been
promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President.
With the addition of the claim operations and
sales and marketing to his responsibilities, Gernert now manages all facets of
VPA’s operations, including claims, customer service, information systems,
finance and administration, and sales and marketing.

Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors commented that, “John Gernert’s
promotion recognizes his successful efforts to improve our client and customer
service and to make the company a more efficient operation. His primary focus

Gernert, a certified public accountant, has been
with VPA since November 1996. He was hired as Vice President, Finance and
promoted to Senior Vice President in April of 1999. Educated at Loyola
Marymount University in Los Angeles, he is a past director of the Ernst and
Young Alumni Association and Downtown Properties Owners Association in Los
Angeles, and is a board member for the American Youth Soccer Organization,
Region 71.
